"On This Date in Black History: A Calendar of Events"

This free, daily Black History Facts Calendar contains over 2,000 entries highlighting Black events and delivers Black History every day of the year. The calendar features:

  • Many major Black Achievements and important dates in Black History
  • Many of the major struggles of Black people and many examples of how Black people have risen to challenges against great odds
  • Ideas, inventions, and leadership by Black people that have helped propel America to prominence and helped mankind world-wide

"On This Date in Black History: A Calendar of Events" represents extensive research and includes many important events in Black History. Every attempt has been made to assure the accuracy of information through verification by multiple sources and, in some instances, by going directly to the source. Where conflicts still existed, information was not included or information that agreed with the sources deemed most credible was used. Some of the events reported are not positive by nature but are reported here to show some measure of the Black struggle and/or because they have been a catalyst for positive outcomes and Black pride.

This calendar has been created to provide knowledge of Black events and empower its users to be more aware of the grand heritage of Black people. Needless to say, Black History is severely under recognized at all educational levels. Recognition is often reserved for a special day, week, or month. This calendar allows the reader to "plug in" to the grand history made by Black people on every day of the year. The reader sees proof that much of this country was not merely built on the BACKS of Black people, but with the BRAINS of Black people as well. Ideas, inventions, and leadership by Black people have helped propel America to prominence and helped mankind worldwide.

It is our desire that the reader will be daily inspired to learn from the successes and failures of others and strive to reach his or her own goals. We believe that many of our readers will go on and make their own positive imprint on Black history.
